Joyfest is a celebration of smiles and brightened days* initiated by the Church in Exeter
*(and generosity, kindness, help, laughter, fun, hope and joy)
“Joy is the serious business of heaven”
Joyfest is thousands of ordinary people trying to spread a little joy – whether through a thoughtful deed, an encouraging word or a random act of kindness. If you’ve been joyfest’d today we hope it brightened your day.
The whole idea was initiated by members of churches across Exeter as a tiny way to convey the joy we’ve discovered through our relationship with God, who is good, generous and joyous!
“Joy does not simply happen to us. We have to choose joy and keep choosing it every day.”
“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead!”
1 Peter 1:6 (NLT)
